You have books. We have readers.

For years, the RAMP associations ~ NAIBA, GLIBA, NEIBA, MIBA, and SIBA ~ have been communicating with publishers about holiday catalogs in various ways. As early as 1991, we were (snail) mailing you rate kits and making annual pilgrimages to New York City to squeeze into your tiny offices, often sitting on boxes of books, to catch up on industry news and talk shop. The telephone was our primary method of communication and voicemail was yet unknown. When we called, you answered. And along the way, we grew from colleagues into friends.  

Fast forward three decades and add a global pandemic and technology is our shared reality. Just as indie bookstores reinvented themselves in the face of big-box retailers in the 1990s, and expanded to include e-books and readers as the world became increasingly digital in the early 2000s, today’s indies are savvy and tough even as they wage a never-ending battle against behemoth online competitors, stepping up their own e-commerce capacity and continuing their tradition of curatorial bookselling in person, online, at curbside, and beyond.  

In the spirit of continuous innovation, RAMP is excited to launch not only a new website but a new cadre of digital marketing opportunities designed to expand your reach and ours beyond the winter holidays to include another important season ~ summer vacation. Our new website will be our foremost method of communication with you as we move into year-round messaging so watch your inbox and check back for updates on everything from special promotions to deadlines to new opportunities.
